Cllrs Swindlehurst and Nazir broke ground on the development of 6 new council homes at Fox Road.
These homes are part of the third phase of our small sites strategy which when complete will have delivered around 130 new council homes for Slough residents (subject to planning approval)
The strategy – which is being delivered by our partnership with Morgan Sindall – Slough Urban Renewal – see’s underused sites around Slough and transform them into homes for our people. Alongside this the development works across Slough will net the council over £30 million in income which offsets some of the £88 million of cuts Slough has faced since 2010
Reaction from residents has been positive and they are delighted not just to see new homes but areas of blight transformed.
