Slough Labour back campaign for better HIV testing

The UKHSA estimates 5,150 people are living in the UK, 4,660 in England, with HIV but undiagnosed.

Slough is an area of ‘high HIV prevalence’ – 3.42 people living with HIV per 1,000 people aged 15 to 59 in 2020, the latest figures available.

Cllr Swindlehurst has written to the Health Sec to raise the need for funding and effective HIV testing at A&E be rolled out in all high HIV prevalence areas not just areas deemed ‘very high.’
