BAYLIS & SALT HILL

FIZA MATLOOB
Fiza Matloob has lived in the Baylis area all his life. He is married with a young family and has been a ward Councillor for a large part of the new ward since he was first elected in 2007. If re- elected, Fiza’s priorities are to strengthen responses to anti-social behaviour and to ensure local parks and open spaces are well-maintained.

MAROOF MOHAMMAD
Maroof is married and lives with her family in the Baylis & Salt Hill ward. She has been a Councillor for part of the new ward since 2019. Maroof is a practice manager at a popular NHS GP surgery in Slough. Her two children both attended local schools. Maroof’s priorities are supporting the NHS, and helping residents in the cost of living crisis.
BRITWELL

ROB ANDERSON
Rob grew up in Britwell, attended local schools, and continues to live in the area with his family. He has been a Borough Councillor for Britwell for more than 10 years and also serves on Britwell Parish Council. Rob’s priorities are to strengthen responses to fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour, if re-elected as a Britwell ward Councillor.

PAVITAR K. MANN
Pavitar has lived in Britwell for over 30 years and has been one of Britwell’s Borough Councillors for 13 years. She is currently Chair of Britwell Parish Council. Pavitar is also an Armed Forces champion for the Borough Council. Pavitar is keen to improve housing standards and the repairs service for Council tenants, if re-elected.
CHALVEY

SHAIDA AKBAR
Shaida is one of Chalvey ward’s Councillors, having been first elected in May 2022. She has been working with the Chalvey Community for the past 5 years. Shaida is a trustee of the Pakistan Welfare Association (PWA), where she has organised skills training sessions for local women. She will work to improve housing standards if re-elected.

ATIQ SANDHU
Atiq is a current Chalvey Councillor. He lives in Griffin Close with his family and has lived in Chalvey for more than 30 years. He owns and manages a popular business in Chalvey, so he knows local concerns and is in touch with residents every day. Atiq’s priorities are tackling antisocial behaviour and improving the local environment
CIPPENHAM GREEN

JEMMA DAVIS
Jemma Davis has lived in Cippenham for over 30 years, her family home being in Moreton Way. She has been ward Councillor for Cippenham Green since 2021. As a mum to a young family, Jemma is passionate about the area, with her focus on the local environment, health and wellbeing.

JAMES SWINDLEHURST
James has lived in Cippenham for over 20 years, and been one of Cippenham Green’s Councillors since 2004. As a Councillor, James has won improvements to Cippenham pond, local parks and the street scene. Council repairs and finding parking solutions are his current priorities.
CIPPENHAM MANOR

RUQAYAH BEGUM
Ruqayah has been a Councillor for the Chalvey part of the new Cippenham Manor ward since 2019. She lives locally in Slough and works for a law firm. If re- elected to represent residents, Ruqayah’s priorities are improving local housing standards, tackling fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour and ensuring local open spaces are well-maintained.

DILBAGH PARMAR
Dilbagh lives in Cippenham Manor Ward, on Tuns Lane, and is one of the area’s current local Councillors. He and his wife have lived locally for the past 45 years. They have two grown up children who attended local schools. Dilbagh is the current Mayor of Slough; previously he worked as a civil servant and as a translator for the Magistrates’ Court.
CIPPENHAM VILLAGE

BALJINDER GILL
Baljinder (Bally) Gill lives in Cippenham and has lived in Slough all her life. Consequently, she has a wide community of friends and family alike across the area, keeping her in touch with local issues and concerns. Bally works for a software company in the Borough.

JOSIAH KIMANI
Josiah lives in Cippenham with his family, and his children attend local schools. He has lived in Slough since 2011, after leaving the British Armed Forces at the rank of Corporal. Josiah is active in various local groups. He is passionate about the environment and education standards.
COLNBROOK & POYLE

AVTAR K. CHEEMA
Avtar lives in Colnbrook, in Dawley Ride, with her partner and grown-up family. She served as one of the Borough Councillors for Colnbrook and Poyle from 2014 to 2022. Avtar is passionate about tackling street-scene issues around Colnbrook and improving green spaces and the environment in Colnbrook village and Langley woods.

GURCHETAN HAYER
Gurchetan Hayer has lived in Langley with his family all his life. He attended Castleview Primary School and Langley Academy before going on to study at Brighton University. He received a Diana award for his campaigning work to combat bullying in schools and he is passionate about improving opportunities for local people.
ELLIMAN

MUSHTAQ MALIK
Mushtaq is one of ward’s current Elliman Councillors. He and his family live in Elliman ward and have lived locally for over 20 years. He has volunteered for various charities, including the Pakistan Welfare Association (PWA) and charities working in international aid. Mushtaq’s priorities are street-scene repairs and tackling fly-tipping.

NUZHAT NEMATALI
Nuzhat has lived in Slough since the early 1990s. She works in the NHS, with the many people she meets through her work keeping her in touch with local issues. Nuzhat is keen to find solutions to parking problems, to tackle ASB and to support residents who are experiencing cost of living pressures.
FARNHAM

SABIA AKRAM
Sabia lives in Farnham ward and has lived in Slough all her life. She’s been a Slough Borough Councillor since 2012. Sabia is passionate about improving parks and public space and making our area more friendly for pedestrians. She will be a strong voice for residents in the proposed scheme to improve Farnham Road.

WAQAS SABAH
Waqas lives locally in Norfolk Avenue. He has lived in Farnham Ward for over 25 years and runs his own law firm, Herschel Law, in Slough High Street. Waqas has been a Farnham ward Councillor since 2018 and was a leading member on the design and delivery of the Faraday Park enhancement project.
HAYMILL

SATPAL PARMAR
Satpal has lived in the Borough for 60 years, and worked at Royal Mail in Slough for 45 years until his retirement. He is married with a grown-up family. Satpal has been a Slough Councillor for more than 20 years and has represented an adjacent ward in Cippenham until the ward boundary changes this year. Satpal is passionate about the environment and parks and also about ensuring Council tenants receive a good level of service.

SANNA MALIK
Sanna was born and raised in Slough and attended local schools. She’s currently finishing a degree in International Relations. She volunteers for local youth organisation ‘Together as One’. If elected, Sanna will prioritise solving parking problems in the area tackling fly-tipping, growing the supply of affordable housing and ensuring that support is there for families in the cost of living crisis
HERSCHEL PARK

CHRISTINE HULME
Christine has been a Councillor for the former Central ward, covering much of Herschel Park for four years. She is passionate about helping local families to get the best start, believing wellbeing and cultural services are vital in improving quality of life. Christine is a trustee of Slough Museum.

ZAFFAR A JAIB
Zaffar grew up in Slough, attended local schools and still lives locally with his wife and children. Zaffar works as a Director for an IT company in Slough. He is a current Slough Councillor and he is passionate about education, tackling ASB, and being a strong voice for local residents.
LANGLEY FOXBOROUGH

MARK INSTONE
Mark was born in the Borough and has lived in Langley most of his life – attending Marish School while growing up. For the past 15 years he has worked in school leadership, having being a teacher for nearly 20 years before that. Mark volunteers with a housing charity in Langley, as well as being on the governing body of a Langley school. Improving housing standards and repairs to Council tenants’ homes are his key priorities.

NAVEEDA QASEEM
A Langley resident, Naveeda has lived in Slough for over ten years with her family. She has a doctorate in Economics, and works as a university Lecturer. Naveeda has been a Slough Councillor since 2016. She has also helped as a volunteer at local primary schools, and with charities and voluntary groups around the Borough. If re-elected, Naveeda will work hard to tackle Langley residents’ concerns.
LANGLEY MARISH

PRESTON BROOKER
Preston has been one of Langley’s Councillors since 2014. He has lived in Slough with his wife and one daughter for 35 years. Preston is a retired transport manager. He was also Mayor of Slough in 2020/2021, a Vice Chair of Britwell Parish Council and a church warden. Preston has previously been a chair of education and employment.

KULJIT KAUR
Kuljit Kaur lives in Langley Marish ward. She was educated at Langley Academy and is currently finishing a degree in Law (LLB) & International Relations. If elected, Kuljit is passionate to keep Slough’s schools doing well and to help local people access skills and training opportunities.
LANGLEY MEADS

SATISH BASRA
Satish, his wife and family have lived in Langley for 40 years. For 11 years Satish was a Governor at Langley Grammar, while his children were at local schools. Satish works as a Business Consultant, helping firms to be more resilient. His priority is to improve local responses to crime and anti-social behaviour.

KAMALJIT KAUR
Kamaljit lives in Langley, and has resided locally with her husband and family for over 20 years. Her three grown-up children were all educated at schools in Slough. Kamaljit works as a Teaching Assistant, and she is committed to helping local people access skills, training and education provision.
LANGLEY ST MARY’S

SAVNEET (SAVI) BAINS
Savneet lives in Langley St Mary’s Ward. She has a PhD in radio-biology and now manages educational provision. Savi also participates in the neighbourhood watch which covers her area and is a school governor. Savi is keen to keep Slough’s schools doing well and to improve the local environment and green spaces around Langley.

GURDEEP GREWAL
Gurdeep lives in Langley St Mary’s, ward in Sutton Avenue, and is a Councillor covering the area that joins the ward from Upton. Gurdeep is married with four grown-up children, who all attended local schools. Gurdeep is a Compliance Manager for a public transport company in London.
MANOR PARK & STOKE

JAMILA SABAH
Jamila has lived in the Farnham part of Slough all her life, studying in Slough and spending most of her career at Heathrow Airport. As a PWA volunteer, she has helped local people access opportunities and educational classes. Living in Slough, she’s in touch with residents’ concerns for the area.

MOHAMMED NAZIR
Mohammed Nazir has been proud to call Slough home for over 50 years. He has dedicated just over a decade to representing Manor Park & Stoke residents; successfully using his expertise in the financial services industry to play an instrumental part in securing the Council funds of £9 million for a new project to enhance Farnham Road.
NORTHBOROUGH & LYNCH HILL VALLEY

MARTIN CARTER
Martin has been a Councillor for the communities of Britwell and Northborough since 2011 and representing the Northborough estate since 2014. He has lived in Slough for 20 years and runs his own computer repair business, through which he provides technology support for the ‘One Slough’ Voluntary Sector Partnership.

ANNETTA DENDIE
Annetta has lived in Slough Borough for over 40 years. She has grown up children, and a much-loved dog – who Annetta regularly walks in local open spaces. She has been a youth worker and was formerly a Centre Manager for Age Concern. Annetta currently works for Slough’s MP, helping residents with issues like the cost of living crisis.
SLOUGH CENTRAL

SAFDAR ALI
Safdar has been one of the ward Councillors for central Slough since 2018. He is married with four grown-up children and has lived in central Slough since 1982. Safdar works in retail. He has also served as a school governor and a trade union representative. If re-elected, Safdar will continue working to be a strong voice for residents of the town centre.

KATARZYNA RUSIN
Katarzyna has lived in Slough for over 20 years and has a young family who attend local schools. She understands the issues that impact on residents and is passionate about improving the environment, keeping local streets clean and supporting Slough Central residents with issues like the cost of living crisis.
UPTON

BALVINDER S. BAINS
Balvinder has lived in Slough for 40 years, and in the Upton part of town for over three decades. He has been one of Upton ward’s Councillors since 2018 and also served as an Upton Councillor previously. Balvinder is married and now retired, having had a career working at Heathrow Airport. His priority is to work to reduce crime and ASB locally.

JINA BASRA
Jina lives in Lynwood Avenue and has lived locally for nearly 40 years. She has been one of Upton’s Councillors since 2019. Jina works in the education sector and served as a school governor at Castleview Primary and Slough Grammar for 12 years. Jina‘s priorities are to keep local schools good and Upton’s green spaces well-kept and litter free.
UPTON LEA

HAQEEQ DAR
Haqeeq has represented residents of the Upton Lea estate, as one of its local Councillors since 2011. He and his wife have lived in Upton Lea for more than 35 years. If re-elected, Haqeeq will work to keep local open spaces well-maintained and find solutions to parking issues.

ANDREA ESCOTT
Andrea lives locally and has resided in Slough Borough for more than 20 years. She works at the Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre in the east of the town. Andrea is keen to improve housing standards, to strengthen responses to ASB and to tackle environmental and street-scene issues if re-elected in May.

GAYE JEYNES
Gaye Jeynes lives locally in north Slough and has lived in the Borough for 37 years. Gaye is married and runs a group supporting women’s mental health and victims of domestic violence. Gaye also volunteers for Slough Foodbank and SCVS. Gaye’s priority is to ensure elderly residents get the support and services they need.

HARJINDER GAHIR
Harjinder and his family live in Knolton Way, on the Wexham Court estate. He has been married for 40 years and has three grown up sons. Harjinder has also served as a Wexham Court Parish Councillor for eight years. Harjinder is keen to tackle ASB and fly-tipping, if re-elected in May.
