May 2nd saw Slough Labour gain 2 extra seats on Slough Borough Council – taking the group to an unprecedented 37 members with a record percentage (40%) of female councillors representing Labour in Slough.
Slough Labour’s 2 gains came in Upton where Jina Basra was elected defeating and Langley St. Mary’s where a familiar face, Zaffar Ajaib was once again elected to serve Slough. Both results saw Labour beat the incumbent Conservative party.
