Slough Labour continue to provide the school places our children need

Slough Labour has a proud record on ensuring our local children get into the schools that are best for them – regularly over 90% of children are accepted into one of their top 3 choices.

This commitment has seen Slough Labour budget in excess of £40 million for continued school expansion and improvements across all our schools.

Council Leader James Swindlehurst recently had the opportunity to tour three expansion projects nearing completion. He took in the work at Westgate School – which is one of Slough’s 7 Ofsted rated outstanding schools (Slough has the highest number of outstanding schools in Berkshire,

James also visited Wexham Secondary School and saw the major expansion of their school – including a fantastic new library space and 6th form centre

And he ended his tour of the ongoing expansion work by seeing the increased space for SEND provision at Priory School – including a demonstration of a new state of the art sensor room
