Over the past financial year Labour have been busy delivering the new homes, schools and leisure facilities our residents need and expect.
We have delivered school improvements and expansions at Claycotts and St. Mary’s Primary schools and provided new SEN facilities at Priory School alongside a major £12 million expansion of Wexham Secondary School. These projects, part of our manifesto pledge to provide enough school places for Slough children, have created 65 new classrooms alongside new sports halls and study areas.
In 2018 we have also finished the refurbishment of the town’s Ice Arena and opened a brand new family activity centre in Salt Hill Park.
Labour has also continued to meet the needs for more homes to house our residents and have completed the development of 104 family homes at Wexham Green and are delivering over 130 new council homes as part of our small sites strategy.
2019 will be an either busier year for development in our town – work on two new hotels will begin in the town centre alongside the development of the TVU site providing retail, office and housing in the heart of the town centre and the significant regeneration of the canal basin is set to step up a gear.
